Overview
We had lunch here on a visit to aviemore, the cafe is set among other shops in the town . It has easy access no steps , space inside is a bit tight but we managed to get a table that wasn’t too difficult to get the wheelchair into. A staff member moved a chair and pushed others out of our way that other users hadn’t pushed in. You ordered your food at the counter . The menu was varied with plenty of choice for everyone, i had Scottish pancakes with syrup, my husband had a cake we both had a hot drink. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Not long after we arrived the cafe got very busy they also have more seating upstairs as well as a couple of tables outside on the pavement, they also do take out sandwiches etc ideal if your going walking or for a drive in the area. We would visit again if in the area.
Transport & Parking
There is on road parking nearby but no blue badge spaces for these you need to park in the main town car park. As we were staying in a local hotel this didn’t bother us as I could just use my scooter to get from the hotel into the town. Although on this occasion we had taken the car as we had planned to go out afterwards. We were able to park on the road not far from the cafe.
Access
Access was level no steps. Although space inside a bit tight with the wheelchair. But this wasn’t too much of an issue as people were more than happy to move to let you past.
Toilets
Staff
Staff were friendly and helpful and found us a table that was easy to access with the wheelchair. Despite the cafe being busy the service was quick.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The did notice that some people who were waiting for tables wore masks but these were mostly from other parts of the world. Tables were cleared away and cleaned straight away before the next people arrived at the table, the food was good and the menu had plenty of choice.
