Overview

This church building opened in 1911 the main gate is at the corner of Kippen St at Glen Graig St. once through the gate there are 4 steps to the front door. The steps are very wide and there is a hand rail on each side of the stairs. This takes you in to a small entrance area there are two doors through in to the church its self. Once through these doors you will see the pulpit etc on your right hand side. A sort distance takes you to the central aisle when you turn right there are pews on both sides going down to the pulpit area.

Transport & Parking

3.5

The area the church is in is a residential area with an old school across the road. However the Church sits on the corner of Glen Graig St and Kippen St and is on a hill. So for disabled parking it is better to park on Glen Graig St after the junction as this area is level and more suitable There are no Blue badge spaces on this St

Access

3.5

Once you go in the corner gate take the path along the side of the church and turn left and enter via double doors. Once through these door you are in a passageway that connects the church and hall area. Turn left at these doors and you face another set of double doors once through these the pulpit area is on your left. This area is made up of individual seats that can be moved about to suit requirements or to give extra wheelchair space. If you turn right at the doors you entered by there are 6 steps up to the hall there is a small wheelchair lift available to use to access this area

Toilets

3.5

This is located in the passage that links the church and the hall and is on the left hand side as you leave the church the toilet is in of the passageway and the door opens outwards. There is a light switch on the wall in the passageway

Staff

5

No Staff but the pastor Rev Alan Muir and the congregation are very welcoming.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

There is another gate on Kippen St but this has 4 steps to go down to access the Church or Hall. Coatdyke Congregational Church is part of the Congregational Federation. The Sunday service is at 11am
