Overview
I feel I can give a realistic review as I have been to Clacton pier many times when able bodied. However this was the first time attending in my electric wheelchair since my stroke. If busy it would be difficult to park close as only four accessible spaces are located near the entrance. The pier itself has an indoor amusement area that is flat with little bumps. I managed to manoeuvre my chair over the old wooden outside area quite easily. The toilet facilities could do with an update. The last time I attended I played crazy golf on the first floor, this would not be possible now. However anyone can drink in the fabulous views on offer from the pier. I do now notice that the height of all kiosks are too high for me to pay and accept my goods easily. This is not the piers fault and is generally the same everywhere. Access to eating areas are flat which helps. The arms on my chair lift so I can get nearer to the tables. I would recommend this feature if your thinking of purchasing a chair. Overall things are a little bit different but fun can still be had. If you can park!
