Overview
A fabulous city to visit, even if it is very touristy. We visited the fully accessable parliament building, where staff went out of their way to help. Great displys and comentary in English as well as other languages. Finding dropped kerbs is a hunt and using cycle crossings is easier for getting up ketbs. Trams are wheelchair accessable. Parks were beutiful and much of yhe old vienna (zone 1) is pedestrianise
Transport & Parking
Parking rules are complex. If you go at the weekend park in zone 1... its free with blue badge in street bays. Different zones have different rules. Do your research about where you wsnt to visit... most stuff is zone 1.
Access
Lots of easy access. Biggest hassel is finding suitable dropped kerbs and access to older listed buildings.
Toilets
We didnt see many disabled loos. Best head for a public building or restraunt. We used the one in the parliament builbing and it was great.
Staff
Those we spoke to were great. Helpful, thoughtful and far more friendly than Salzburg, where people seem to put up with, rather than welcome visitors.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Plan your visit. Weekends are better for parking and remember shops close on a sunday in Austria. Worth a visit as the scenery and buildings are outstanding
