Cineworld Cinema, Centertainment Sheffield
Visit date:
Overview
The cinema provides a wide entrance way and a separate disabled access automatic door to allow those in a wheelchair easy accessibility into the venue. There are also disabled toilets located around the cinema complex to accommodate everyone's needs. Guide dogs are also allowed within the cinema to allow equal opportunities for everyone to attend the cinema and have a movie filled day.
Transport & Parking
The cinema is situated in a entertainment complex so has a big car park with multiple disabled parking spots but there is 18 disabled parking spaces in front of the cinema to make accessibility easier. The foot paths are also flat and wide to allow easy wheelchair use.
Access
The disabled access was very good as the designated entrance was clearly signposted and the lifts were clearly identifiable. The desks to purchase tickets were a suitable height to allow the staff to communicate with the customers of all abilities easily and safley.
Toilets
There were many disabled toilets located within the cinema on all floors and near all the screens to allow easy access. Within the toilets there were identifiable pull chords in the case of an emergency and there was also a variety of grab rails in the correct places around the toilet. There was also space for a carer in the toilets if needed.
Staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful and were available throughout the visit to help direct and assist into the film and chosen areas.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
If I was to visit again, I would suggest a separate queue to purchase tickets for those in wheelchairs that was more easily accessible instead of going round the queuing system.
