Overview

I visited this cinema with my friends including one that is in a wheelchair. The cinema is accessible for wheelchair users and there were facilities to meet my friends needs. We travelled by car without no problems. Will be visiting again and would highly recommend to others as there is lots of other things to do to within the complex.

Transport & Parking

At the complex of where the cineworld is, there were lots of car parking spaces. There are plenty of disabled parking spaces very close to the entrance of the venue, making it easily accessible. We found that it was very well signposted on the motorway when getting closer and then signposted from the junction to the complex. The paths from the car to the entrance were all flat.

Access

The entrance to the complex was disabled friendly but the cineworld was on the 1st floor. There was escalators and lifts available which made the cinema accessible for us and they were clearly signposted. Where we had to purchase the tickets from were a reasonable height to allow the staff to communicate with the customers of all abilities easily and effectively. There were flat surfaces all the way into the cinema screen that we were in and there was designated room for wheelchair users to be able to sit and watch the film with friends and family.

Toilets

There were lots of disabled toilets located on the same floor as the cinema and close to the screens to allow access. Within the toilets there were a red pull chord which was labelled in the case of an emergency and there was also grab rails in the correct places around the toilet. There was enough space in the toilet to move the wheelchair around and also for a friend/carer to stay in the toilet if needed. The toilets were reasonably clean and tidy.

Staff

The staff were very polite and helpful. They directed us to which screen we needed to be in.

It was a great day out and we managed great and everything we wanted to do was accessible.
