Overview
Cineworld in Ashton Under-Lyne is very accessible for people with disabilities, however there could be a few problems for some individuals that can be improved, these problems are explained in the full review.
Transport & Parking
There is plenty of disabled parking areas allocated around the building, this being on the front and around the back. however there is no back entrance to the cinema and this could be difficult for some individuals to travel all the way around the cinema to gain access. There is a metro-link station near to the leisure park, however no bus services that stop on the park.
Access
The main entrance doors are automatic so this enables people to gain access without having to open them doors them selves. However gaining access into a screen may be difficult for some users if they are alone, as the screens have big heavy fireproof doors that need to be pushed / pulled open.
Toilets
The disability toilets are situated in various areas around the cinema and are all very accessible with large amounts of room to manoeuvre inside in a wheelchair or a mobility scooter.
Staff
The staff at the cinema are very kind and helpful and ensure that customers are safe at all times whilst also keeping a clean and tidy environment.
