Overview

Chester zoo had step free access, they had good signage outside some of the indoor exhibits such as the butterfly exhibit warning you about if it will be noisy or humid inside incase of sensory issues. Also warning you of any dripping water due to potentially damaging hearing aids. They also had changing place toilets as well as standard accessible toilets

Transport & Parking

They had blue badge parking nearby, they had a bus stop nearby too

Access

They had clear signage warning you of any accessibility issues such as loud noise and humidity for autistic people or anyone who struggles with sensory issues. The signage were placed outside some of the indoor exhibits. They have step free access, free carers membership pass (not sure about day ticket as only got a membership) there were benches to have a sit down. It looked like you could borrow wheelchairs too which i didn’t do but good to know it was an option

Toilets

They had a changing place toilets as well as standard accessible toilets with grab rails and red cord hanging all the way down. The toilet had plenty of space to move my rollator around and it was definitely big enough for even the most bulkiest of wheelchairs
