The famous beach had to get a visit as we were in the area

Car park right by the beach with pay to park meter. We parked right by beach entrance. Bus service to abbotsbury village.

Access

Boardwalk from car park . It’s quite short but it does mean you can see the beach. The beach is smooth small pebble and quite dense so if you walk you don’t sink but it’s not that easy. Also it’s a shelved beach so it looks like it’s empty but over the hill there are people… although not many. Left and right it goes for miles and miles… beautiful.
