Overview
My husband and I visited Chatsworth whilst on holiday. He uses a mobility scooter to get around. There are disabled spaces at the front of the car park, close to the house. Car is parked on gravel surface but paths are smooth. The grounds are very accessible (they can provide a map showing where is accessible). There were only a few places we didn't tackle due to the inclines. All the paths were very good. The grounds are beautiful. He had to transfer into a wheelchair to see the house (we had brought his but they have wheelchairs available). There is a lift to all floors and everywhere was accessible. The staff were extremely helpful and willing to assist. There are two cafes and two shops, also fully accessible and level. Disabled toilet was easy to access and large enough for him to drive into with the scooter. A really good day out at a beautiful place.
