Overview
Me, my husband, his mobility scooter, our son, his lady and their dog. After a visit to the museum we decided to wander around the harbour area. Well worth the effort of finding a parking space. Lots to see. Some steep gradients and a variety of surfaces from cobbles to concrete to travel to tarmac but the scooter managed admirably. Actually quite a number of scooters tootling around all seeming to be getting where they wanted to.
Transport & Parking
The main car park was very busy and we didn't find a space. Had to park on the street some half a mile up the hill.
Access
The harbour area itself was sufficiently step-free to enable us to get where we wanted to go. The walk down from where we parked to the harbour area was complicated by some narrow bits of pavement and some missing dropped kerbs.
