This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair
Overview
This is a newish building ,built to be a health farm so it is fairly easy to get around for a wheelchair user .i didn't make the best use of what they have to offer because I wasn't told about everything.if you go make sure you ask about all the disabled facilities etc so you make the best of your visit
Transport & Parking
It is in the countryside so not that lose for public transport but it is supposed to be restful.there are some disabled spots to park
Access
It is modern so lots of space and lifts to bedrooms and treatment rooms. The swimming pool has wide steps which I can manage but I didn't see a hoist. There is a disabled bedroom but we stayed in a regular one so I cannot say what it was like
Toilets
In the changing room there is an accessible toilet, but we couldn't find a shower.Later when we asked the manager showed us a really good shower and changing area for disabled guests but it was out the way and locked when I go back again I will use it but we should have been shown it when we got there really, it would have made things easier
Staff
Staff were helpful but as I said above the First Lady should have told us about the changing room
Anything else you wish to tell us?
It is a lovely place to stay with lovely food.On my birthday when we got there the swimming pool wasn't working that day so my mom e mailed them and we can go at a reduced rate next time to make up for the disappointment .That time we will know about the disabled changing area so it should be even better.
