Overview
This one of the 3 piers in Blackpool and is the middle of the 3 this is an old Victorian structure the floor area is wooden with space in between each plank of wood so it is not all flat, Care should be taken at all times more so if it is wet. The pier has a number of seaside attractions like a big wheel etc all the rides are on a ticket type idea that you purchase on the pier. Please note that the Amusement arcade at the promenade end has steps however you can get in by going along the side and using the back doors.
Transport & Parking
There is very limited parking around this area and restrictions are in place at certain times of the year. The nearest car park is about 10mins away however the trams do stop at the end of the pier
Access
For the age of this structure it is what you might expect a bit worn however the main floor area is level right along the length of the pier. There are a few areas that the passage way is small but no major issues
Toilets
There is a Radar Key Toilet on the Right hand side of the pier this is the side nearest the Tower. It was clean and useable however the grip rails on both sides of the toilet its self were rusty and would advice care if using.
Staff
The pier has a range of staff from food and bar staff to people working on the attractions like the big wheel.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There is a family bar at the end of the pier on this visit it was very quite and only a few people sitting. There is also a show bar above the amusement centre at the promenade end of the pier. There is a lift up to this venue on the south side of the pier but we did not visit this area during this visit
