Overview
Great disabled access, they have thought of a lot here to make it accessible
Transport & Parking
No disabled parking so I had to park in the car park which is about 20M away, they could do with having some dedicated disabled parking for the spa No marked parking bays so no extra space to get wheelchair in/out
Access
Slightly steep ramp to get into the building, but once in it is all on the same level. Spacious disabled wet room/ changing room but you have to go through the ladies/ mens changing room to get there, this was a bit of an issue as I struggled to wheel myself through the ladies whilst my boyfriend had to go through the mens!
Toilets
Staff were helpful and took us to the disabled wet room/ toilet which was clean and spacious. I could have a proper shower after using the spa
Staff
Very helpful and gave me a few extra towels for my wheelchair
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The spa is all on the same level, I can walk short distances and was having a bad day so I was being wheeled to each steam room and left my wheelchair outside the room and walked in. Easy to get all around the spa and I cant remember too many heavy doors to navigate. Considering this is a spa, it is very good for disabled access, I faint easily in hot rooms/ showers and cant walk far so I am put off by many spas by being on too large a floor plan where I have to walk too far, or lack of wet room where I can have a proper wash. Disabled people are entitled to have a relaxing spa experience so this is great for it. Can also take a carer in for free as it is quite expensive so this makes it worth it!
