Overview
You really need a motorised wheelchair or mobility scooter to visit this wonderful sculpture park set high up in woodland on the South Downs. Some paths are very rough (tree roots and chalk) and there's a step into the reception (where the loos are situated). There is one mobility scooter (book able) available to bottom, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Transport & Parking
No disabled parking spaces in the rough surfaced car park (but the staff brought the mobility scooter we borrowed down to the car).
Access
Great if you've got an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter. Impossible with a manual wheelchair because of the nature of the woodland site. Needs a ramp into the reception area.
Toilets
Good. But sited in the main building which has a step up on entry.
Staff
All three staff that we met went out of their way to help.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We would certainly visit again (the sculptures are changed over time) and it's a lovely woodland site with views over the South Downs to the coast, but only if we could be certain of booking the on site mobility scooter.
