Overview

The whole site is easily navigated by wheelchair, Scooter or on foot. A quiet place built by the local priest and people of the community during the years of depression 1920’s and 30’s for people of all faiths and none.

Transport & Parking

5

Adjacent to rail station and on a bus route. Ample parking at the chapel.

Access

5

The whole site has ramped pathways and ramped access to chapels, conference centre and ancillary buildings. For those with limited walking there are sturdy marble memorial benches every few yards.

Toilets

4

Toilets are in the main chapel. Roomy with good circulation and transfer space but I have taken off a star as although there is the usual wide door one has to go through a standard width door to get to it. Sink has been boxed in thus limiting access for a chair user.

Staff

Everyone one we bumped into was kind, caring and friendly.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

An oasis of calm and contemplation in a busy world.
