Bustling market
Visit date:
Overview
As with much of Rome, cobbles prevail! But they are noticeably flatter and smoother than cobblestone surfaces I am used to at home. They're certainly very worn down around this daily market. Camp de'Fiori is colourful, lively, and a great place to pick up gifts or fresh produce.
Transport & Parking
Cars do drive past here but it's really more of a pedestrianised area. There are busses on the main road just a short walk from the square.
Access
Apart from the cobblestones, access is generally quite good. The stalls have a decent amount of space between them and the produce is all at a good height for browsing. The colours, noises and smells make are great for the senses too!
Toilets
None specifically for the market, but the entire square is surrounded by big restaurants which have facilities.
Staff
Most of the stall holders are chatty and obviously very keen to sell to you. That is their main concern however!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The market fills the square by day, and at night it turns into a lively spot for eating, drinking and street performers.
