A great find for lunch - and loo!
Visit date:
Overview
Cafe Praline is a coffee shop towards the bottom of Leith Walk, on a corner just past and opposite the New Shops block (which are sadly being closed). It has stylish grey and white decor, tables and chairs or sofas inside and pavement tables outside. A variety of sandwiches, panini, cakes and pastries and their excellent coffee - comfortable, relaxing, tasty. It has a very friendly efficient staff. There is a very clean modern loo and a fair sized disabled toilet which also houses a baby changing table. On both my visits there were wheelchair users and baby buggies - space in the cafe wasn't a problem. I'll be back.
Transport & Parking
Not sure - we walked there. It is on Leith Walk so lots of bus stops nearby. Not sure about disabled parking.
Access
There was a small step of about an inch to enter. After that all was fine. Plenty of space around the tables for a wheel chair to move about.
Toilets
Not a changing places loo but still well equipped with the normal disabled wall grips etc. Very clean. Good space for entry to loo and to manoeuvre about.
Staff
You order at the counter but staff were helpful to anyway who needed to order seated at a table. Very pleasant, relaxed service.Fod was interesting, tasty and very fresh.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Would def recommend it. (If you are looking for very cheap food, there are plenty of other places nearby.) Artisan food is excellent quality at very reasonable prices - you can pay a lot more for a lot less in Edinburgh! - in really nice surroundings.
