Rae's Festive Family Meal
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Hearing Aid, Walking Aid, Autism, Learning Disability
Overview
Steps to the entrance and was rather compact whilst inside the venue. A bit hard to move around if you are in a wheel chair or with a walking aid. But there is an area when inside if you wish to dine and are in a wheelchair. Didn't see a ramp for the entrance and exit but maybe there is one if asked. I sometimes only work with a stick so I'm more abled-bodied. I liked the atmosphere and the staff were friendly. Being on the site of an old windmill it does have character!
Transport & Parking
As staying nearby didn;t go by car but there is a small car park on gravel which maybe hard for wheelchair users, few steps up to the entrance and bit of limited space inside. Concrete ramp to the entrance it is just at the door there was a bit of a step/lip.
Access
Toilets
Accessible, but rather small, not sure what you would do if you were in a bit electric wheelchair maybe if wheelchair users can transfer to a smaller chair.
Staff
Very friendly staff and atmosphere, just maybe due to the accents for people with hidden disabilities may find it hard to understand them.
