Overview

Pub 1 of the first day of my accessibility pub crawl in Broughty Ferry. Bruach is a great bar in Broughty Ferry that is level access and serves delicious cocktails.

Transport & Parking

A council car park with disabled spaces is a few buildings down, as well as other car parks/on street parking close by and taxi rank is also nearby. There are also plenty of buses that pass through Broughty Ferry on regular basis. A train station is also situated in Broughty Ferry although I don’t know anything about how often they stop, I know it’s not that much though.

Access

Bruach has level access into it and is very spacious inside however, on a Friday or Saturday night when it can be quite busy you can struggle to find somewhere to sit/stand. The door leading into Bruach can be quite heavy so may be difficult for some people to open, I wouldn’t manage to open it. There is also an upstairs area in Bruach where you can have food however, you are also able to have food downstairs.

Toilets

There is a disabled toilet at the back of the bar which might be difficult to access if it is very busy. It is very spacious inside though but, there is no changing place toilet though. Down at the beach in Broughty Ferry there is a changing place although, it is only open till 5pm in the Summer and 3:30pm in the Winter.

Staff

I have visited Bruach numerous times before and every time I have the staff have always been very nice. When I visited this time, we didn’t get all the food that we had order, the manager Chris was very apologetic and gave us our food for half price.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

I would recommend visiting Bruach if you are in Broughty Ferry and have one or maybe two of their cocktails. There are also cocktails classes here that are great. You can see how I entered this pub in my video linked below (skip to 0:34 to see this pub).
