Overview
Being a supporter of FC United of Manchester - and an advocate for people living with reduced mobility, I've been impressed with the facilities for disabled supporters at Broadhurst Park. Lots of spaces for wheelchairs, both up in the main stand (to the front of the main function room), the two smaller stands, and to the front of the St Mary's Road End, so wheelchair users can enjoy and join in with the fantastic atmosphere the SMRE generates! A very friendly ground for access, with a huge community spirit, welcoming to all who love their football!
Transport & Parking
Parking is available at the ground, and buses run from Manchester on matchdays.
Access
There is a lift for those supporters who want to watch the game from the main stand (with ample spaces to have an elevated view if you fancy it). All other areas of the ground are accessible at ground level, with spaces to the front of the St Mary Road End so users can enjoy the excellent atmosphere from the terrace. Other stands at the ground are flat and covered so lots of choice for viewing the game. Seats in the main stand are also reserved for those with limited mobility who may struggle with steps, in addition to the great space for wheelchair users.
Toilets
There are disabled toilets, well signposted from within the main stand. User writing this review is not a disabled user, so did not see inside the toilet to fully comment. The ground is new, and the club prides itself on making the experience enjoyable to all.
Staff
All ground staff are very helpful. FC United is a community club, where the matchday experience for all is seen as very important.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I'd recommend anyone tries an FC United game, it's a friendly club who welcome all, a community club owned by it's supporters, determined to ensure everyone is made to feel like part of the FC United family.
