This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair
Overview
Comfortable spacious cabin with two separate beds, wide doorways to accommodate wheelchair and well equipped disabled toilet/bathroom facilities plus TV. As expected on a boat the door hinges are stiff and as someone who is over 6 foot tall handrails are low or non-existent. Also, a catch on the external cabin door (to hold it open) would be a useful addition.
Transport & Parking
Provided that you advise upon booking, parking is adjacent to a lift and plenty of space is left around car for wheelchair access and handling.
Access
Lifts between card deck, accommodation and restaurants.
Toilets
Space is provided adjacent to the toilet in the cabin for easy transfer from wheelchair. However, as someone over 6 foot tall, the hand rails are a bit low and there is no high level support for someone standing upright. (There are other accessible toilets around the ferry, however I've never needed to try them ...)
Staff
Very helpful staff both during loading and in restaurant etc.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I have specifically reviewed the inside 3-berth cabin on the Mont St. Michel boat as personally I have found this the best and most accessible cabin. Have also tried the outside 2-berth cabins on other boats, but space is more limited in cabin.
