Overview

Great location - near London Bridge station (which is accessible). Staff were so helpful both at booking stage and on the night.

Transport & Parking

3.5

London Bridge station is accessible in terms of tube and train (the staff use ramps to board the train). I used to use the station regularly pre COVID and almost always found the staff helpful. Obviously Central London is not easy for parking. But there is plenty of drop off points not too far away and we usually park in Bermondsey area if necessary.

Just need to discuss access needs when booking.

Toilets

Toilet was ok but but tricky if on your own. The door is right next to the ladies toilet and my opening the door nearly caused an accident. But they do offer a free carer ticket so usually I would not be on my own and a carer would be there to avoid a crash!

Staff

That’s what made me want to give the place a positive review because (like most theatres) the staff are so helpful. Maybe as I was on my own, the staff actively sought me out to offer help. It was done in an appropriate and genuine way. The river lit up at night and the staff kindness made it a magical evening (despite hubby being ill so I was on my own). I would really encourage disabled people to go to live theatre as it is usually more accessible than people think.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

They staggered arrival times so there was no worry about being in a crowd - that made it relaxing travelling to the performance. I saw hand gel and staff wore masks.
