Overview
Bridge Street Car Park has 3 EV charging units and is located just outside of Paisley town centre. Directly across from the car park, you’ll find a seafood restaurant, Il Pescatore, the attached chip shop and the Paisley Pie Co. A short distance from Paisley Abbey and the Town Hall, you’ll find something to keep you busy as you wait. At the time of writing, the first hour of parking at this location is free. Please be sure to check this with a parking attendant or at the ticket machine.
Transport & Parking
Located in a public car park, there are 37 parking spaces, a single accessible parking space (which is no bigger than a standard space) and six EV charging spaces, The second accessible space was removed to make way for the EV charging point recently. There are three EV charging points, two Evolt and one Charging Places Scotland, split over six spaces.
Access
The car park can be accessed from the street, there are dropped kerbs at the entrance. There's a ticket machine that can be reached from a sitting position. There are metal bollards in front of each charging point, with the two smaller Evolt charging units being made a little more awkward to access. The charging cables and sockets can be reached from a sitting position as can the contactless card reader.
Toilets
There are no toilets at this location.
Staff
The car park is unstaffed, though it is frequented by parking attendants.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The EV spaces would benefit from being wider to support the needs of disabled drivers. The existing accessible bay would ideally be larger for this same reason.
