Overview

BEWARE!!! This pub is really nice unless you are a wheelchair user! You can get into the place OK BUT the so-called accessible toilet is down a few steps and the wheelchair lift doesn't work. They have been 'waiting for spare parts for over a year' and there has been absolutely no progress whatsoever. The manager and staff are frustrated and embarrassed but this doesn't get over the fact that the accessible toilet is inaccessible.

Couldn't get to the so-called accesible toilet in my wheelchair. It is down a few steps from the main entrance level and the wheelchair lift hasn't worked for over a year.

Staff

Staff were really nice but unable to help. The owners have not done anything for over a year to get the wheelchair lift fixed.

Hi Pete, We completely understand your frustrations on your visit. At the time we were actively seeking parts for repairs from a Canadian company and after months of sourcing they were unable to get the parts for us. We were then told the only solution was a new custom lift which would then be another few months to be custom made, installed and tested. We totally understand your frustration, as we were also feeling this way. We want to be as accessible as possible and due to these factors we were unable to uphold this. We want to highlight (as outlined above) our owners and team were actively seeking a solution and unfortunately on this occasion many variables caused a fast solution to be out with our control. Again we want to apologies and hope you will return in the future!
