Overview
Lovely mostly level trail, marked out as a nature/play trail for children. Don't be put off by this though as its a gorgeous ramble through wild woodland with fantastic views (via a short excursion off way marked path). Helpful volunteer in the car park gave us a map. There are several other trails but apparently they have steps though no information was given about where. I have off-road wheels but I reckon most/all of this trail would have been accessible by manual chairs. This trail is two miles (circular).
Transport & Parking
Car needed. Head for National Trust car park at the top of the zigzag road. Only two disabled spaces in car park, rough surface. Huge car park but other spaces narrow, with logs marking bays. Members free otherwise charge applies.
Access
Way marked trail, map supplied. Easy follow. Firm path for most of the route, compacted earth for rest. Gently sloping in parts. Just a couple short lumpy sections (Flint embedded earth path, quite uneven). Made path has quite an edge in places (sharp drop off of 4 or 5 inches) so wheel in the middle of the path.
Toilets
Lovely loo by cafe, opposite car park. Would have been full marks were it not for - no soap, loo roll impossible to reach (on cistern).
Staff
Helpful volunteer. Might be helpful if volunteers are more clued up on other options eg where steps are on other trails so we might have been able to devise our own route. There might have been other options we could have tried.
