Overview
Bourton on the Water is a lovely Cotswold Town with a river running through it. There is free disabled parking in the council car park next to Birdland Park and Gardens. There is another council car park at the other end of the village. I rode my mobility scooter along the Riverside path without difficulty although it is quite narrow. You (or people coming the other way) have to give way a lot. Also, crossing the road is a bit dodgy. I didn't see any pedestrian crossings and dropped kerbs are few and far between. The river is shallow and available to paddle in. There are lots of interesting shops along the way as well as many pleasant tea rooms and restaurants. A lovely place to visit but I think it's best avoided at the height of summer and school holidays as it will be very busy.
