This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair

Overview

The entrance doors are extremely wheelchair-unfriendly. Apart from that, the usual high quality I normally associate with this chain.

Transport & Parking

1

The nearest step-free station is Earls Court, which is a long way off. The 49 bus stops just outside this branch of Boots, and the 74 bus is not very far away. I wouldn't dream of trying to park in this area.

Access

2

If you're a wheelchair user, you won't be able to get into the main entrance to this branch of Boots because it has two steps behind the door. Instead, use the concealed entrance in the shopping arcade to the left (see my picture below). Even then you will have difficulties, because the double doors are very heavy and you will need to open both of them to give enough width to allow a wheelchair to pass through. This is really very poorly thought-out, with no regard for the legal obligations imposed by the Equality Act 2010.

Toilets

0

As far as I could tell, this branch of Boots, like most others, does not have a toilet, and I would not expect to hunt for one.

Staff

3

The staff at this branch have the expected high standard of customer service you would find at any other branch of Boots, but they lose two stars because they have not thought through the design of their entrance doors, or have taken no action to improve them.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

If you buy paracetamol, it's much cheaper to buy the red-and-white boxes than the blue-and-white boxes.
