Now a very accessible wheelchair and scooter path along the waterfront and harbour area
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair, Mobility Scooter
Overview
If you are visiting the nearby Bo'ness and Kinneil Steam Railway then this can be a pleasant extension to the visit along the waterfront on a nice day.
Transport & Parking
Parking in the car park alongside the railway line and opposite the bus station. This is a short distance from the Railway carpark. Access to the fully tarmac path is across the gated railway line and is easy enough. There are at the time of writing two disabled spaces.
Access
Crossing the railway line via the gate is much easier than it sounds.
Toilets
No loo at this location but there is at the nearby railway.
Staff
No staff of course as it is just a walk !
Anything else you wish to tell us?
As previously mentioned this can be a pleasant addition to a Steam railway visit if you would like great views and a great smooth path. Runs for about 1 mile alongside the railway line. Look out for seals in the harbour and river and countless waders in the mudflats.
