Good Food, Good Service

Overview
We enjoyed a meal here, with good food, nicely presented. The chairs have a small lip at the side rather than arms, and I found this slightly tricky, because I couldn't just swing round to exit. They were also heavy to move. The restaurant has a nice view of the quay/ river and window tables on two sides. I recommend a window table because it's quite dark at the back. There was plenty of space to get past the tables on my walker. We have been at a later time at the weekend when it can get quite noisy, so go early if you don't like that. They are open for lunch at the weekend and that might be a nice time to go to. It's family friendly, especially early in the evening.
Transport & Parking
We parked in Waitrose carpark, which is free for 2 hours. Close to town centre so possible to use public transport.
Access
There is a ramp going up to Waitrose that can be used for access. Bit of a long way round but easier for me than the steps up, which do have a handrail. Signage clear.
Toilets
Accessible toilet near the Ladies and Gents at the back of the restaurant. High chairs were stored in there which might restrict space, but I managed fine on my walker. Low sink for wheelchair users. Appropriate grab bars and alarm cord. No changing places toilet.
Staff
Staff were lovely and really helpful. We booked an early table, and there was some waiting as staff had been delayed. This could have been dealt with better, eg by offering some nibbles while we waited (I have to take a stomach tablet half an hour to an hour before we eat, and husband had to to to Waitrose to get me something just in case, however we were seated and served before the hour ran out, luckily.
