Overview
What a great find !. This former Carpet Shop is a wide, spacious single floor area with mixed and varied seating, full of families so access and and an atmosphere is right up this Street !. Just a lovely airy bright cafe to be in, it’s owned by an Irish chain called Bob and Bert’s and they sell their own coffee beans !.
Transport & Parking
I travelled by train from Edinburgh to Grahamston, journey time 13 mins from Haymarket Station, the cafe is situated in the pedestrian High Street in Falkirk, 350m from the station and it’s uphill.. There is a car park adjacent to the westbound platform fully accessible via an underpass with disabled bays, there is blue badge parking in the surrounding side streets.
Access
All on one level, bright, spacious, mixed and varied seating for children, families and assistance and all other dogs welcome. There were no menus in other formats, choices were uncomplicated and very popular as the cafe was busy, clearly a friendly and place for regulars to meet. Ample room for wheelchair, power chairs, prams, buggies and pushchairs.
Toilets
Very large and spacious, fully accessible toilet with red cord, grab rails and all at seat level, this doubles as a baby changing facility.
Staff
Couldn’t have been friendlier and welcoming, they could see my symbol cane and gave me a choice of seating area, offered to explain the menu choices and where the disabled, my order was brought over to me although it was tray service. I was so taken by the coffee, I bought a bag of their own beans !
