Spacious and beautifully appointed accommodation with friendly and very helpful owners. Idyllic spot. Would definitely go back.

Transport & Parking

The parking is in front of the property on the gravel forecourt. The owners were happy to clear a path for us which made access much easier.

Access

The access to the house is via a concrete ramp and once inside the living space, bedroom and bathroom are completely level with enough space for a powerchair to move around easily. The bed also has sufficient room underneath to use a mobile hoist. The driveway is covered with heavy gravel which made our progress pretty tricky, however Chris and Chrissy solved the problem for us by clearing a path through this from the ramp to the road - brilliant! The property is reached by a fairly steep hill which might effect whether you go out without the car, although it does mean the position is superb. Very comfortable property.

Toilets

The ensuite loo is great. A true wetroom with enough space for a mobile hoist. Excellent.

Staff

The owners, Chris and Chrissy, live on an adjacent property and are on hand for any problems you may have. They created a path through the gravel forecourt for us which they said they'd be happy to do again. They have direct experience of a friend who uses a wheelchair so are really committed to doing what they can to make the cottage comfortable. Lovely genuine people.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

This is a beautiful cottage in an outstandingly beautiful area. If getting away from it all is what you want then this is the place. The cottage has a range of books and games to help you relax. Wheelchair users may struggle with the hill so be aware you'll probably want to use your car whenever you go out.
