Overview

The Blue Planet Aquarium is recognised as the UK's finest aquarium as it was designed with everyone in mind. They offer free admission to a full time carer, dedicated disabled parking, life access to each floor with ramps throughout, disabled toilets and the option to hire a wheelchair.

Transport & Parking

There is dedicated disabled parking near the entrance. On the website there is details of how to find them. From travelling in a car, a bus and by train.

Access

There are lifts on each floor taking you up to the next floor. The staff are very friendly and helpful so dont hesitate to ask them for help. There are also rams throughout the attraction to avoid the use of steps. There is level/ramped access to the venue as well as access to the gardens an grounds.

Toilets

Toilets were easy to find as there are signs, there are 3 altogether. The disabled toilets have plenty of turning space in them with grab rails and room for a carer.

Staff

The staff are all very understanding and willing to help.
