Overview
I stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting our Blackpool offices. I really just needed a base but this site was really peaceful and pleasant, making it feel more like a rest or holiday.
Transport & Parking
I arrived by motorhome on a Sunday afternoon. The route in is easy - just off the end of the M55. The road into the site is quite narrow but it isn't busy and I had no problems getting in. Arrivals bay is clearly marked and you go into reception to check in.
Access
The site is flat. Like most club sites, all the pitches are gravel, and that isn't easy in a wheelchair. The paths are a bit old and could do with resurfacing but I managed to get around fine in both my day chair and off road chair. The dog park is small and the surface is bark chippings so I used my off road chair for that. Access into the accessible shower room was fine. It has a small ramp but easily manageable. It was harder getting into reception as there is a little lip on the threshold. I only went in though once.
Toilets
I really liked the layout of the toilet and shower. It is a wet room but with the shower in a kind of cubicle at the end. This means the rest of the room, including my chair and assistance dog, stayed dry. My only criticism of it is that the main floor was quite slippery. It was always clean and I didn't have to queue to get in. That's probably because it has a RADAR lock.
Staff
The staff were really friendly and helpful. They allowed me to choose my own pitch so that I was near a service point. They also lifted the manhole cover so I could empty my grey waste.
