Overview
The Botanical Gardens and glasshouses provide a tranquil and educational day out for all ages. Its surroundings include 15 acres of beautiful gardens, rain forest experience glass houses, historic Gardens, a shop (all accessible and wheelchair friendly), Adventure play ground, Tea Room overlooking a band stand however Scooters are not permitted in the Tearoom and should be parked safely outside when users are visiting these facilities. Toilets are available in the Tearoom but these are not adapted for use by wheelchair users. Room hire is available for events. Transport & Parking
Disabled parking bays are located on first row of car park by welcome sign and clearly marked out in blue. Blue badge must be displayed. Some areas of the car park are sloped and do become slippery when icy.
Access
Ramps are located throughout the gardens and glasshouses. Wheelchair friendly paths can be used to navigate around the gardens. Some external paths are not accessible by scooter or wheelchairs. A map of these paths is available from reception free of charge.
Toilets
A disabled toilet is situated at the right hand end of the Main Reception as you enter. There are several Disabled toilets situated throughout the gardens however there is no accessibility in the Tearooms.
