Overview

Wheelchair accessible restaurant with more tables upstairs and very friendly staff. Serves a delicious brunch 7 days a week until 4pm with a DJ playing great tunes

Transport & Parking

When I visited here I got a parking space right outside by the street. This was because the 2 council car parks that are at either side of this restaurant were full, one is right across the road and the other is a 5 minute walk away. Basically due to the restaurant being in the city centre there are plenty of parking spaces nearby and taxi ranks around the town. There are also lots of bus stops on mainly every street where buses visit regularly from all over Dundee and Angus. The train station is also just roughly a 10 minute walk away, on the other side of Slessor Gardens.

Access

4

There are 2 entrances into this restaurant, one with one step up and another with complete level access, just now automatic door pad. Unfortunately this restaurant loses one star because there was only one table that my friend and I could sit at because we are both wheelchair users, luckily we booked. On the level access there is only 2 wheelchair level tables as the rest are high tables, but one of the wheelchair level tables is at a booth so only one wheelchair would be able to sit at it. You'd also struggle to get into it as there are chairs in the way, so people would have to move to let you past. Our table was a perfect size for our wheelchairs though. Without the issue though that there is only one, possibly two, wheelchair accessible tables, there is plenty of space at the bar area and around the high tables. I think there are more wheelchair level tables within the other seat area upstairs, but there is no lift.

Toilets

3.5

Although there is an accessible toilet here, it is quite a squeeze to fit a wheelchair into it. With my friend having her assistive dog as well, she had to leave her wheelchair outside the toilet, which most people can't do. There is also no emergency red cord.

Staff

Staff were very welcoming and helpful with anything we needed. As soon as my friend came in with her assistance dog they came right over with a bowl of water for him.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people and will be visiting again myself, just remember to book. It is such a great price for brunch, I didn't have this deal when I visited but, you get a brunch meal and a glass of fizz or a beer for only £10 whilst a DJ is playing music in the background. There main meals look delicious too and the cocktails sounded good. Only thing I would say to change is to have more tables at wheelchair height on level access.
