Overview
SAT NAV. OX26 6DE. PIONEER SQUARE CAR PARK. BICESTER Not to bad a little shopping centre, quite a few smaller type shops, street seemed to be clean and tidy with usual shops to see. Parking offered free two hours for disabled, and we were back well in time as it’s basically just one street for the shops, but not bad. Following sat NAV was easy enough and took us right up to car park (photo 1) but a long wait at traffic lights to cross over to get to entrance, then it’s round and round until you reach disabled bays ( photo 2). You then have a long walk to reach the lift (photo 3) to get you down to ground floor level in Sainsburys store, then a long walk back to the other end again, before you come out near B&M (photo 4). Walk a few feet along passage ( photo 5) and you are at Wetherspoons (photo 6) but we suggest you wait for coffee break until you are in the fantastic Bicester village outlets, but for now it’s not far from one end to the other of the shops (photos 7 & 8) Theres an attractive arch walkway you can go along (photo 9) with small interesting stores, before you turn right and head back towards Sainsburys ( photo 10) and the lift you need to go back up to 1st floor and your car. OUR FINAL THOUGHTS Not a bad shopping area, clean and tidy, pleasant enough visit.
Transport & Parking
A large undercover car park, with two hours disabled free parking. A bit of a walk though along to the lift, then a long walk through Sainsburys to get out to shops.
Access
The whole towns on the level, easy for disabled with a carer, but a bit of a way to go on your own.
Toilets
Did not see, or need to use toilets.
