Overview
Standing in the centre of England, this is quite a pleasant hotel, ideal for coffee break or afternoon tea, is easy enough for disabled to feel comfortable here, attractive in its own right, well maintained, with friendly easy going staff who will support your visit. It offers free parking, ramps, and inviting, with a separate entrance for its “Triumph Bar, and then in the evening the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse is an ideal place to join with friends and family. Standing beyond “The Green” in Meriden just a few hundred yards on, the hotel looks very appealing as you arrive (photo 1) with lawns all around the frontage (photo 2) and disabled parking is available right up by the ramp (photo 3) which is easy enough for your carer (photo 4) and leads you on a level path up to front door (photo 5) and the entrance into hotel is level for you (photo 6) A pleasant enough reception desk (photo 7) in an open attractive, very clean spacious hallway awaits, with a nice marbled staircase (photo 8) but thank goodness that disabled do not have to use these stairs, as rooms are on the ground floor if you wish to stay overnight. Just beyond reception is the entry to the Marco Pierre White bar area (photos 9 and 10) a delightful spot for coffee, served in proper style (photo 11). A small passage leads off towards the toilets (photo 12) which are tight, but very clean and well maintained, with grab rails (photo 13) The bar leads you into the very nice restaurant (photo 14) with comfortable seating (photo 15) where breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening dining may be enjoyed (Photo 16). Across the restaurant (photo 17) a door will take you out to a small but pleasant terrace (photo 18) At the far end of reception area, you may ride along towards the Triumph Bar (photo 19) which is also very comfortable and a pleasant place to enjoy your chosen drinks (photo 20). All in all, this is a nice hotel, relaxing enough with no airs and graces, an ideal resting place, which we would recommend to you.
Transport & Parking
Large car park, with a slightly sloping ramp to get you up to the hotels entrance.
Access
It’s an easy enough sloping ramp up to hotels entrance which carer will easily manage, and it’s level throughout the hotel.
Toilets
Public toilets are clean and tidy, but a bit small for wheelchair users, so would have to leave chair in the passage
Staff
Pleasant and hard working, willing, and friendly enough
