Overview
Whilst marked on the local signs as a wheelchair friendly path, it includes some steep slopes, difficult surfaces on the paths around the cattle grids and some areas (eg from the main path to the cafe) unsurfaced (just gravel paths). The food in the cafe was good (including several gluten free options) and the staff friendly and helpful.
Transport & Parking
Ample disabled parking near to the payment meter - but at the opposite end of the car park to the path to the Head.
Access
Steep path from the car park is hard work when pushing a wheelchair. Path from main path to cafe is unsurfaced. Concrete slope up to cafe entrance. Ample room to manoeuvre in cafe. Difficult surface at gates round cattle grids on main path.
Toilets
Not investigated.
Staff
Staff coped with disability by making space between and at tables. Low key assistance.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Good Clifftop viewing. Good for birdwatching. Lots of dogs on the day we visited.
