A live audio described handling session on Saturday 1st October at 10.30am will bring alive the stories of some of ‘The Few’ - the Battle of Britain aircrew who courageously flew and fought between July and October 1940 to ensure that Britain was not invaded by Nazi Germany.
The session will incorporate the Museum’s unique handling collection to illustrate the bravery shown by these young men in the face of adversity. Highlighting the diversity of the aircrew, there will be a special focus on Polish aircrew to correspond with the last day of the Museum’s temporary exhibition ‘17,000 Reasons to Remember’.
