Overview
This was a nice wheelchair accessible restaurant with great friendly staff.
Transport & Parking
There is a car park with lots of disabled bays directly across the street from the restaurant. I've always managed to get a disabled bay easily despite the car park being used for the cinema and a few other restaurants that surround the beefeater.
Access
There was a gentle slope from the street to the entrance of the restaurant and there was level access into the restaurant. The waiting area is very spacious and I did not find it restrictive for my wheelchair. We were greeted by a lovely waiter who offered us a table near the accessible toilet, but I felt it was a little cold from the nearby door so we kindly asked for another table for which he was more than happy to show us to. The waiter was also very aware of my wheelchair and suggested a table that would accommodate my wheelchair better. He continued to be extremely helpful and friendly throughout our meal. The table was also a good height for my wheelchair to roll under.
Toilets
There was an accessible toilet which was a pretty good size. It had grab bars/rails, space for my wheelchair and an emergency pull cord. We had to untie the cord, but in a way I can see why it was tied up as it was very close to the fold-down rail and could easily be pulled by mistake. We untied the cord and added a Euan's Guide card to it.
Staff
Our waiter was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. It was a pleasure to be served by him.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I would definitely visit again and recommend it to others. It's ideal if you're in the city centre or the Vue cinema across the street.
