This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair
Overview
Wheelchair accessible, reasonably priced food, staff extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble
Transport & Parking
Plenty parking at adjoining Premier Inn Carpark. Dedicated disabled parking clearly marked, would think they'll fill up quickly as shared with the Premier Inn, we arrived about 6pm and got one of the last 2 disabled spaces
Access
Fully accessible, no steps , have not given full points , as access was up rather a steep slope which I would not have been able to self propel my wheelchair up without assistance. 2 sets of double doors difficult to manoevere , needed assistance of another 2 customers. Hook to hold door open was broken. Staff very helpful with holding doors open when leaving the restaurant. Ramps to where we were seated very steep
Toilets
Accessible loo at far end of restaurant, quite a long walk for those with walking problems. Very steep slope to access toilets, felt my wheelchair was 'running away' even with assistance. Reasonable sized toilet, tight for turning. Higher height toilet, plenty grabrails, and cord for assistance. Grabrail only at one side of toilet, I need 2 as I need to push up on them to stand
Staff
Couldn't fault staff, very helpful, manager helped with doors when leaving, and took us straight to reception at the Premier Inn next door where we were staying. Waitress Andrea was fab, she helped me remove my foot plates whilst I was settling in at our table and my friend was at the toilet. A problem ( of my own making) with my meal was quickly rectified, she even checked we were ok when we went to the disabled loo
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Good food, reasonably priced, lovely staff, and fully accessible as long as you have someone with you. Would definitely visit again
