Overview

Until we found out there was a bus for wheelchairs there was a lot of walking fir my husband who did not have a scooter at that time because he was too proud to admit he needed one. Beamish is very hilly and spread out over a large distance a lot of the exhibts you can't get into if you are wwheelchair bound, things like the houses or the shops, the toilets were fine and there was a disabled toilet that was clean and had plenty of room. When leaving we had to go up a big hill which when you have a fit and lose control of your wheels is very worrying not their fault but you would think that the bus could drop you off near the entrance.
