Overview
Nice, interesting, but not a lot to see or do, but such a pleasure just to stroll around by the island. Ideal as part of our Midsomer murders tour. The church, St Mary and All Saints, was used in the series, “Ghosts of Christmas Past” where you see Barnaby and Scott inspecting a grave. It was also used as the church in “Four funerals and a wedding” Along the long line of cottages on photo 9, just on the corner by zebra crossing, a little shop was converted to become a chocolate shop set, “Chockfullo chocolate”. and one of just two shops on the same cottages was used when Barnaby buys some new trousers, in the programme “Blood will out” The town was also used in “Days of Misrule” where Jones finds a stolen car. Then Joyce bumps into Tom at the “Causton Music Store” in “Death in Chorus” and filmed in “Vixens Run” as a Jewellers shop. Other locations around the town were filmed in “Till death do us part” and other programmes used scenes for “Dead in the water” as well as “Hidden depths” and “Shot at dawn” So your visit here will hold a lot of interest for you.
Transport & Parking
Very difficult to find anywhere to park, as it’s all street parking.
Access
A little difficult to get round, as streets can be uneven, but you will manage, and it will give you a chance to get out and about.
