Overview
Venue itself is generally wheelchair and mobility friendly but it is very diffficult to get anywhere near venue with mobility issues
Transport & Parking
There are apparently 2 disabled spaces in the School car park but these were taken. Staff did not know how to get access to this car park anyway. There are yellow light nes on Lauriston Place and normally you can park there with a disabled badge. However no parking bollards are all along length of street on both side des. There are some spaces at the bottom and also my If new road opposite ( new meadow place?) but it is a difficult walk back up a steep incline . There is a bus stop reasonably nearby coming from south of city. No sign of a bus stop coming from lothian road end
Access
Narrow very bumpy pathfinder area with artificial grass. Less seating than when they were near George square.ramp into blue tent. All seating up steps apart from front row
Toilets
One disabled loo with s ramp when ch actually had a shower! Lots of space. Toilet lid collapsed when I pulled the old fashioned change n which might not be best option when you’re disabled
Staff
Generally sympathetic and helpful
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Lots of disabled people will be attracted to the BBC free shows so it’s a shame that the council have made access so difficult, I complained to staff and they said they had complained to council
