Overview

Totally wheelchair accessible, this is the most amazing visit. The entrance initially made me anxious because it was at the back of the building however it was very easy and my whole family came with me so it was fine. There is a discount but only a small one. The tapestry is on the ground floor, access is completely flat. The audio guide was hand held which might be a problem for some. I didn't enquirer if they had any headsets. The audio guide determines the speed that you move along the tapestry which takes about 20 minutes to travers 70 meters. UpstAirs in the lift is an exhibition which gives more details about the battle of Hastings and its aftermath. Up again to the top floor for a fifteen minute film with even more detail. Really excellent visit. The gift shop is in the cellar you have to go out side round the corner then back to the front of the building which is a bit of a pain, however they do have some nice treasures at reasonable prices eg Tea towel 8 €, fridge magnet 3€ and bags for 3€ nice reminders of your trip.
