Overview
Batsford Arboretum is very near Morton in March. It is easy to get around on one of their Trampers and access to the shop is also easy. I cannot remember if we ate there but it is likely. I went in early summer and the unusual hankerchief tree, of which there are few, was in bloom. Almost opposite the arboretum is the India House which for somebody able bodied I am sure is very interesting. I enquired about access before visiting and was received a hand drawn map showing concreted paths to the house and access to grounds. Well no there wasn't it was gravel paths. I was told that although I wouldn't be able to go upstairs but had access to the ground floor and I would be shown a video of the upstairs rooms. Well no it didn't I was shown into one room and the attendant with me had never heard of a video in all the years she had volunteered there. So best avoid the India House but Batsford Arboretum was accessible and very beautiful. As for the hankerchief tree - a little underwhelming.
