Overview
Well first of all, the afternoon tea was superb and our waitress brilliant. Nice disabled loo with well-positioned grab rails and automatic door. Lovely level access everywhere we went downstairs. Let down badly by total absence of disabled parking bays and fact that car park (uneven surface, loose gravel) was some way away. Drop off space by front door is no help to someone needing their Carer to stay with them - we could drop off elderly relatives but I had to be offloaded in the bumpy car park then pushed some way.
Transport & Parking
Disabled bays are needed by the main entrance. The main car park is rough and uneven.
Access
Gentle ramp to main entrance. Smooth level floors in foyer, corridors and "The Hub" where we had tea. Corridor to nearby disabled loo also level and clear of obstacles and clutter. Easy to move around in a wheelchair .
Toilets
Clearly signed just past reception. Push button sliding door was a nice touch. Plenty of room for me but no room for lateral transfer from wheelchair. Well positioned grab rails. If I have a criticism, it's that the mechanism to lock the door from the inside could do with a light or something to show its locked. I was nervous I hadn't done it properly and someone might come in - great in principle though!
