Disabled Access Day 2017
It’s all happening in Leeds, where activities will include branch accessibility tours, pop-up stands from Leep, Your Health Matters, People in Action, Leeds Mencap, Specialist Autism Services, Sunshine and Smiles, mini exhibition of work by disabled artist Sarah Ezekiel and a bPay promotion.
On Friday 10th, at around 11am, there will also be a very special event led by Parklands Primary school in conjunction with Caroline Atha School of Dance, special thanks to Heidi and Charlotte, don’t miss this!
Also on Friday Emma Horsfall, the local Digital Eagle, will be demonstrating how a Micro:bit, (a piece of technology that is used to teach children to code), could be used to help people with sight loss to navigate around the branch. This project has been done in partnership with the Micro:bit Foundation and Wayfindr. Everyone will be able to have a go
