Overview
Visiting offices can often be a bit tricky as a wheelchair user. Barclays broke the mold with easy access, a warm welcome, and responsive staff.
Transport & Parking
I arrived from the nearby tube station. It was a fair distance but easy to roll along the pavements in what was a fairly modern environment.
Access
Arriving outside the building it was easy to find the wheelchair accessible door which was automated. The surface and route to reception was level and easy to wheel across. Getting up to the meting rooms was via a large lift. The meeting room was spacious, light and bright and easy to manoeuvre.
Toilets
The accessible loo that I used was well laid out and modern. It lost points as the signage to find it was not that great. My observations have been noted by the bank and signage will be reviewed.
Staff
Staff were very friendly and offered help without prompting. This included everyone from the man on the entrance door, the meet and greet staff, and the security people. It felt like a welcoming environment.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
A modern office complex that was remarkably easy to wheel around and visit.
